Since this Issue is all about Fall and the great knitting that we all get into in the fall I want to know two things from you dear reader; what is your favorite fall activity? and what do you have planned to knit this fall?
To start us off I will tell you that my favorite fall activity is going up to Greenbluff farms and picking apples with my family. Happily the first of these jaunts usually coincides with my birthday and so I can forget about getting older and instead spend several golden afternoons picking apples among the changing leaves. This fall I am planning to knit the Forest Fiesta coat by Sandra McIver, as well as finishing Nora's Sweater by Pam Powers, oh and I have yarn for the Olique Sweater by Veronik Avery, and... well.... the list continues.
Don't forget to leave your comment with your favorite fall activity and what you plan to knit this fall as well as your contact information, I need an email addy from you if you want to win! The contest will be over at 12pm on Tuesday the 23rd of August and Hubs the Great will help me draw three names the next morning! Thanks for reading and good luck!

I have so many plans for Autumn knitting, but the top of the list is Melia by Ysolda Teague, followed by Josephine by Melissa Dominguez. My favourite Autumn activity has to be knitting with wool again, as I can't do it during the Summer. I love it when I get cool enough to snuggle under a half knitted blanket.

ReplyDeleteThanks for the lovely giveaway and congratulations on having your pattern in KnitCircus.
My favorite fall activity is camping up on Boulder Mountain amid all the blazing aspens. You can see the entire Milky Way, too.
Fall is my favorite time of the year! I love watching the kids piling on the school buses early each morning.....and it is a welcome relief from the Texas Heat!
ReplyDeleteThis year there will be tons of things on the needles...we have been or are being blessed with an abundance of babies in our family....and they will all be needing toddler size warmth for the season.
Thanks for the giveaway, and congrats on getting your pattern published! My favorite fall activity is watching football, and my knitting this fall is going to include lots of hats and socks for my family and hopefully a sweater or two for myself. :)

I have to admit, Petite Panache is at the top of my list for this fall! I'm just waiting a little longer to cast on so I can decide what size to make for my daughter. I also have a number of baby items to make for friends and our own #2 (due in October). My favorite fall activity is enjoying the cooler weather and watching the leaves turn color.
ReplyDeleteCongrats on getting your pattern published, how exciting for you! Your designs are very cute and the patterns are well written and easy to follow.

Baby, Baby there's a baby on the way, I am a knitting Grandma, and I will be doing a lot of baby knitting! I stopped by here to see what I can see about the Jellyfish Bag Pattern, with a few pockets sewn into the lining, I think it would make a terrific diaper bag! I love fall and everything about it. There's a "Junk Jaunt" in Nebraska and a "Treasure Hunt" that runs the length of Route 36 through Kansas, I attend both.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on getting your pattern published.
ReplyDeleteFall is so great for all the colors of the world turning!!
will be starting a new baby blanket for expected great nephew.
My favorite Fall activity is EATING apples, I LOVE apples, in fact they are my favorite food! Thanks for the opportunity to win these great patterns!
ReplyDeleteI plan on knitting a new set of Boreal hat/mittens for my daughter. I tested for you last fall, and she LOVED them to fuzzy, felted bits. My son is also getting a pair of mittens and a hat, but I haven't chosen a design yet.
ReplyDeleteAnd my favorite fall activity is having bonfires and pumpkin patch trips!

ReplyDeleteMy favorite fall activity is sitting outside in the cool air. Here in Georgia it's just too hot for much outdoor time in the summer.
Knitting this fall is going to be mainly for myself. Almost all of my knitting goes to charity or friends, so this year I've got a few cardigan, blouse, & vest patterns I'm going to make up for myself - I've even bought the yarn! One vest is almost finished!
My favourite fall activity is going to the local corn maze! And...finally baking again once the weather gets cooler. I just finished knitting a "Makin' Bacon" scarf, and am hoping that I can learn how to make some socks and gloves once I'm banished to my living room again for the long Alberta winter. ALSO I THINK YOU ARE GREAT. I hope all's well with you and your fam:)
ReplyDelete(Also this is Laura from yer home town, I just signed up for a blog and haven't done anything with it yet!)

Is it bad that my favorite fall activity is cooking...and eating? After the summer-long oven and hot food ban I get so excited for some stew! As for knitting plans, Im thinking hats, hats, hats, and then some gloves, gloves, and more gloves. coco-ono@hotmail.com
